YstokHelp Authoring Tool

YstokHelp is a freeware help authoring tool. It produces documentation, also called a help book, in the following formats:

• HTML (can also be used as on-line help),
• PDF (is under development).

The YstokHelp application includes the following.

• The editor of projects files in the main window. A help book projects is a kind of ASDF or ASDlite system definition.
• The compiler program. Your can compile only changed files or recompile everything from scratch.
• The Settings dialog.
• The Log window.

System requirements

• Pentium-166, 64MB RAM, 9MB on hard drive.
• Windows 2000/XP/7/8/10.
• Web browser.

YstokHelp is freeware. Click this yhelp-m-n-bbb-en.exe or the link on on the left side bar to start downloading the self-extracting Setup Wizard. Your can run it immediately or copy to your computer for installing later.

Installation

1. Start the Setup Wizard yhelp-m-n-bbb-en.exe and follow instructions on the screen.
2. After reading the license agreement, click I Agree,
3. Choose the Destination folder (C:\Program Files\ystok\Help.m by default).
4. Select optional components, for example, sample files.
5. Finally, click Install.

By default, the Setup Wizard creates a shortcut menu
  Start » All Programs » YstokHelp m.n

Documentation

The documentation in English is incomplete for now.
The full documentation on YstokHelp is only available in Russian.
